We're looking for a Mandarin-speaking Android Developer who wants more than just another contract role.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, building and enhancing Android applications used by real customers every day
- Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA Engineers and Backend Developers
- Taking features from concept through to deployment
- Improving application performance, stability and user experience
- Investigating and resolving bugs, production issues and technical challenges
- Participating in technical discussions, architecture decisions and code reviews
- Contributing to the ongoing evolution of engineering standards and best practices
- Exploring new technologies and approaches that improve product quality and development efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills (spoken and written)
- 3–5 years of commercial Android development experience
- Strong Kotlin and/or Java development skills
- Experience building and releasing Android applications into production environments
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack Components and mobile architecture patterns
- Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Strong understanding of multithreading, networking and performance optimisation
- Experience with Git and modern software development practices
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Solid attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality code
Bonus Points For
- Jetpack Compose
- Coroutines and Flow
- MVVM or Clean Architecture
- CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Experience building fintech, trading, payments or other high-performance mobile applications
- Strong WebView integration and optimisation experience
The Details
Hybrid working model (3 days per week onsite)
Mid to Late June Start (Earlier Preferred)
Salary $120,000 - $150,000 + Super pro-rated over the 6 month period.
