Intermediate Accountant - Tax & Business Services

We are a well‑established accounting and taxation practice in Mt Hawthorn. We provide taxation, business advisory, and compliance services to a wide range of clients. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and friendly Full‑Time Intermediate Accountant to join our close‑knit, skilled team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Accountant with 2 years’ Australian tax and public practice experience to join our team. This hands‑on role offers variety, regular client contact, and the opportunity to build your skills in a supportive team environment.

It is a Full‑Time, on‑site position with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs
- Preparation of BAS, IAS, and other compliance obligations
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work




- Liaising directly with clients regarding accounting and taxation matters
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Working closely with directors and senior accountants to meet client and lodgement deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine interest in taxation and accounting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of accounting & tax experience in an accounting practice
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards
- Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word & Excel
- Knowledge of accounting software such as HandiSoft, MYOB AE and AR, Xero, Class, FuseSign, or comp
