Senior Steam Technician | Boiler and Gas Specialist | Industrial Maintenance

We are seeking experienced Senior Steam Technicians, Boiler Technicians, and Gas Technicians to join a reputable industrial maintenance team.

This role would suit a steam, boiler, gas, combustion, plumbing or mechanical services technician who wants to move into more specialised commercial and industrial work.

The role offers variety across service, maintenance, breakdowns, installations and project work, with exposure to steam boilers, Type B gas, combustion systems and industrial plant.

They are also open to someone with strong adjacent experience who can be trained further, so it may suit a capable technician looking to develop deeper steam, boiler or Type B gas expertise in a supportive team environment.

About the Role

- Mandatory qualifications include Type B Gas Certification, Advanced Boiler Training, a current electrical licence (A Grade or equivalent), and demonstrable skills in managing industrial steam and boiler systems.
- Remuneration is competitive, approximately $45 to $55 per hour + OT and Call out rates
- Position is based in the northern metropolitan area of New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on industrial steam boilers and gas-fired equipment.
- Install and commission certified gas appliances and burner units.
- Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues within combustion systems, ensuring adherence to applicable safety standards.




- Work closely with mechanical teams on major boiler plant refurbishments and upgrades in commercial and industrial settings.
- Provide after-hours emergency breakdown support when required.
- Maintain thorough service documentation, compliance certificates, and reporting.
