About The Neighbourhood Sauna
The Neighbourhood Sauna is a growing wellness business offering communal beach saunas, private sauna and bathhouse experiences, treatments, events and hospitality offerings across several locations in Perth.
Our brand is warm, community-focused and grounded in making wellness feel approachable, meaningful and enjoyable. We are looking for an experienced Social Media & Marketing Manager to lead our marketing strategy, manage our content team and help grow our audience, memberships, bookings and brand awareness.
About the Role
The Social Media & Marketing Manager will oversee the planning, delivery and performance of The Neighbourhood Sauna’s marketing across Instagram, email, Meta advertising and Google campaigns.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You will manage the content calendar, coordinate our content creators, develop campaigns, oversee paid advertising and ensure our brand is communicated consistently across all customer touchpoints.
You will work closely with the founder, managers and content team to promote our locations, services, memberships, events and new business offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Manage The Neighbourhood Sauna’s Instagram accounts and overall social media presence.
- Develop and maintain a monthly social media and campaign calendar.
- Plan content around services, locations, memberships, events, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Write engaging captions and ensure content reflects the brand’s tone and visual identity.
- Schedule and publish posts, Reels, Stories and campaign content.
- Monitor comments, messages, tags and community engagement.
- Track social media performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Stay informed about platform changes, content trends and emerging formats.
Content Team Management
- Lead and coordinate the internal and external content team.
- Provide explicit briefs to photographers, videographers, designers and content creators.
- Organise content days and ensure sufficient content is captured across all locations.
- Review and approve content before publication.
- Ensure deadlines, posting schedules and campaign requirements are met.
- Maintain an organised content library containing photos, videos, templates and brand assets.
- Provide creative direction while maintaining a consistent brand identity.
Email Marketing
- Plan, write and schedule regular email newsletters.
- Develop email campaigns for memberships, introductory offers, events, new services and seasonal promotions.
- Create automated email journeys for new customers, members and previous visitors.
- Segment the customer database to deliver more relevant communications.
- Monitor open rates, click-through rates, bookings and campaign conversions.
- Continually improve email performance through testing and reporting.
Meta Advertising
- Plan, create and manage paid campaigns across Instagram and Facebook.
- Develop campaigns for brand awareness, bookings, memberships, events and new customer acquisition.
- Create campaign audiences, retargeting strategies and location-based advertising.
- Work with the content team to produce effective paid advertising assets.
- Monitor budgets, cost per result, conversions and return on advertising spend.
- Test different creative, messaging, offers and audiences.
- Provide clear reporting and recommendations based on campaign performance.
Google Marketing
- Manage Google Search, Display and remarketing campaigns.
- Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities to reach customers actively searching for sauna and wellness services.
- Write and test Google advertising copy.
- Monitor campaign budgets, conversions and cost per acquisition.
- Maintain accurate Google Business Profiles for each location.
- Support local search visibility and online reviews.
- Work with relevant providers to improve website tracking, search visibility and campaign performance.
Marketing Strategy and Campaigns
- Develop a clear marketing strategy aligned with the company’s growth goals.
- Create integrated campaigns across social media, email, paid advertising and the website.
- Support the launch of new locations, services, memberships and events.
- Identify opportunities for collaborations, partnerships, media coverage and local community engagement.
- Monitor competitor activity and trends within the wellness, hospitality and lifestyle industries.
- Assist with marketing materials, signage, website updates and promotional collateral.
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure spending is focused on measurable outcomes.
Reporting and Performance
- Prepare regular marketing reports covering social media, email, Meta and Google performance.
- Track key metrics including audience growth, engagement, website traffic, enquiries, bookings, membership conversions and return on advertising spend.
- Use data to improve campaigns and marketing decisions.
- Clearly communicate what is working, what requires improvement and recommended next steps.
About You
You are creative, organised and commercially minded. You understand how to build a strong brand while also producing measurable business results.
You are comfortable leading a team, managing multiple campaigns and working across both organic and paid marketing channels. You can move between strategic planning, content review, copywriting, campaign management and performance reporting.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a social media, digital marketing or marketing management role.
- Experience managing content creators, designers, photographers or external agencies.
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager.
- Experience managing Google Ads and Google Business Profiles.
- Experience using email marketing platforms and customer databases.
- Strong copywriting, editing and communication skills.
- A good understanding of brand identity and visual storytelling.
- Experience reading campaign data and preparing performance reports.
- Solid organisational and project management skills.
- The ability to manage deadlines and coordinate multiple locations and campaigns.
- An interest in wellness, hospitality, lifestyle or community-focused brands.
Experience with Canva, Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, Google Analytics and customer relationship management systems would be highly regarded.
