Role Description This is an on-site contract role for a Clinical Myotherapist Remedial Massage Therapist based at Motion Myotherapy Northcote in Northcote, VIC. The therapist will conduct thorough client assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver clinical myotherapy and remedial massage services to address pain, injury, and musculoskeletal dysfunction.

Day-to-day tasks include providing manual therapies such as deep tissue and sports massage, maintaining accurate clinical notes, and educating clients on self-management strategies, injury prevention, and ongoing wellbeing.



The role also involves collaborating with other practitioners, managing appointment schedules, supporting a high standard of customer service, and contributing to a secure, clean, and welcoming clinic environment.

Qualifications

- Relevant qualification in Myotherapy or Remedial Massage (e.g., Advanced Diploma or Diploma) and eligibility for professional association membership.
- Robust skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of myotherapy and remedial massage techniques, including deep tissue and sports massage.
- Ability to educate clients on rehabilitation exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle strategies to support long-term musculoskeletal health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centered, inclusive, and respectful approach to care.
- Proficient time management, record-keeping, and the ability to work independently within a busy clinic environment.
- Current professional indemnity insurance, first aid certification, and eligibility for private health fund provider numbers.
- Experience working with diverse client groups, including athletes, office workers, and pregnancy clients, is highly regarded.
- Availability to work a mix of weekdays and weekends and commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
