Job Description

ORCHARD WORKERS / FRUIT PICKERS WANTED for The Trustee of the Casotti Enterprise Trust. 150 casual short term positions available for our harvest period; start from September 2026 for 9 months, with a chance of extension. Positions involve casual fruit picking and general farm operation across various orchards in Western Australia’s southern region (Donnybrook, Mullalyup, & Manjimup).

This is a variable role that may include working across a number of elements on the farm. You will be paid hourly at the current minimum rate for casual work under the Horticulture Award 2020 Orchard Worker (Level 1, MA ). On average you will work around 30 hrs per week, and may be required to work weekends, which will be rewarded in accordance with the award.

Standard days of operation are Mon‑Fri 7am‑3pm. Work will be available to commence on the following dates:
September 2026
October 2026
November 2026
December 2026

Potential extension dates (June 2027 to September 2027) are also possible.

Responsibilities
Planting,



mulching and mowing
Picking fruit without damaging plants
Pruning crops to ensure maximum growth
Using fertilizers
Applying pesticides
Constructing trellises
Assisting with building and maintaining fences
Weeding
Alerting the orchard manager of equipment breakdowns
Cleaning, packing, and loading harvests

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be physically fit and able to bend and stretch without problems. • Must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • No on‑site accommodation is provided; applicants must arrange their own accommodation and transport. • Must have the right to live and work in the region.

Upskilling & Prospects

Positions offer continuous chances to upskill and learn during the 9‑month period, with opportunities to become team leaders over the season. Training is provided upon commencing the role and throughout employment.
