As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, provide high-quality tax and business advisory services, and play a key role in delivering exceptional client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs), and individuals.
Provide tax planning, compliance, and business advisory services.
Manage client relationships and deliver proactive advice.
Research and interpret taxation legislation and provide practical solutions.
Review the work of junior accountants and provide coaching and mentoring.
Assist with business development and identify opportunities to expand client services.
Ensure compliance with Australian taxation legislation, accounting standards, and professional obligations.
Contribute to process improvements and the ongoing growth of the practice.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
CPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion).
Minimum of five years’ experience in public practice, with a robust focus on taxation and business advisory.
Comprehensive knowledge of Australian taxation legislation.
Experience using accounting and tax software such as Xero, MYOB, APS, or similar.
Strong analytical, communication, and client relationship skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
