Our local council located in South East Melbourne is looking for a People and Culture Business Partner to join their team on a temporary, full time basis. You'll be earning $60.41 per hour and working across the organisation to deliver strategic HR advice and support to managers and staff. Partner with departments across council to provide hands-on HR advice on recruitment, performance management, organisational change, and employee matters
Coach and guide leaders to develop capability and help build a culture of excellence
Support the full employment lifecycle, from onboarding through to departures, plus lead HR projects and initiatives

Preferred Requirements
Solid experience in HR business partnering or a similar advisory role,



ideally in a large organisation or public sector setting
Solid knowledge of employment law, enterprise agreements, and HR policies and procedures
Proven ability to manage sensitive workplace matters, including performance and disciplinary issues
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with managers and staff at all levels
Experience with HR information systems and the ability to manage data accurately and confidentially

Preferred Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
Professional HR certification such as AHRI membership or equivalent
Current Police Records Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain these)
