We are seeking an experienced and motivated Community Services Trainer & Assessor to deliver high-quality vocational education and training in Community Services. This role involves facilitating engaging learning experiences, assessing student competency, supporting learners throughout their training journey, and maintaining compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accredited Community Services training in classroom, workplace, and online settings.
- Assess student competency in accordance with training package requirements.
- Develop and maintain high-quality learning and assessment resources.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and academic support to students.
- Conduct workplace visits and liaise with employers where required.
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with RTO and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Build positive relationships with students, employers, and community stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Relevant qualification in Community Services (Certificate IV, Diploma, or higher).
- Current industry experience in community services, disability, mental health, family support, youth work, aged care, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of competency-based training and assessment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Current National Police Check.
- Working with Children Check (where required).
- Current Driver’s Licence.
Desirable
- Experience delivering CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services and/or CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Experience delivering training in regional or remote communities.
- Knowledge of ASQA Standards for RTOs.
