The Youth Detention Centre Psychologist provides assessment and intervention services to young people in a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally safe manner. The role requires leading and facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration across internal and external agencies to support proactive communication and positive outcomes for young people.
Responsibilities
- Deliver assessment and intervention services to youth in detention settings.
- Apply trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally safe practices.
- Lead and facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration across internal and external agencies.
- Collaborate with allied health disciplines (Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists) and broader client services teams.
- Contribute to proactive communication to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
