About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established financial services organisation to appoint a Head of Human Resources. This key executive leadership position reports directly to the CEO and takes ownership of the global people function.

Location: Sydney CBD. The role requires global experience and a strong background in financial services.

Responsibilities

As Head of HR, you will lead a team across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Employee Relations and Payroll. Your responsibilities include:

- Lead and develop the global HR function across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Employee Relations and Payroll
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on people strategy, organisational design and workforce planning
- Drive initiatives in leadership development, performance, succession planning and employee engagement
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, organisational change and workforce risk
- Continue to evolve HR processes, governance and operating models to support business growth




- Work closely with leaders across the organisation to build capability and improve organisational effectiveness
- Drive a high‑performance culture while ensuring compliance across multiple international locations

About You

- Proven experience leading an HR function within organisations of 500+ employees.
- Solid international HR experience, particularly across the APAC region, with a solid understanding of Australian employment legislation.
- Experience operating within both fast‑growth and established organisations.
- A background across HR strategy, Employee Relations, HR Operations, organisational design and change management.
- The ability to influence and partner with executive stakeholders while leading high‑performing HR teams.
- Experience within financial services, fintech, banking or another regulated industry will be highly regarded.
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential.
