We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience in Endoscopy and minor procedures to join our clinical team on a part‑time basis with a minimum of 64 hrs per fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster, no on‑call, no public holidays, closed 3 weeks over the Christmas/New Year period.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Guide the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care.
- Use advanced clinical skills to guide the team on relevant standards, policies and training.
- Support the GM, DON and NUM in quality activities, procurement, rostering and team tasks.
- Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery.
- Ensure patient safety and effective communication with the surgical team.
- Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery.
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift.
About You
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world‑class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience as a Perioperative Scrub/Scout.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Advanced clinical and technical skills including problem‑solving skills.
- A passion for education, mentoring and leadership.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative nursing desirable.
- Experience in Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Interventional Pain Management, MOH's Surgery, Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery, Iron Infusions, and other specialties highly desirable.
