The Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality AOD services aligned with legislation, professional standards, and primary health care principles. You will work across community, outreach, and inpatient settings to support clients through withdrawal, recovery, and ongoing care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans
- Deliver therapeutic interventions and counselling support
- Support clients through withdrawal and recovery pathways
- Provide pharmacotherapy and harm minimisation strategies
- Facilitate group programs and education sessions
- Collaborate with internal teams, community services, and families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and attend case conferences
- Participate in outreach services across the region
About You
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Experience in mental health, AOD, or community health (highly regarded)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of trauma-informed care principles
- Current driver’s licence
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualifications (or working towards) in AOD or related field

- Salary: $80,524 – $109,175 + 12% super
- Access to Grade 4 salary ($102,439 – $109,175) subject to progression

- Location: Ulverstone, North West Tasmania
- Hours: Full-time (76 hours per fortnight)
