About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Bar Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our bar and beverage service. This is a full‑time position responsible for leading the bar team, ensuring high standards of customer service, maintaining compliance with liquor licensing requirements, and contributing to the smooth running of a busy, high-volume hospitality venue that combines dining, entertainment, and functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Recruit, train, roster, and supervise bar staff to ensure efficient service
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships for beverages
- Monitor and control bar costs, wastage, and stock variance
- Ensure full compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and liquor licensing regulations




- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene across the bar area
- Develop and update drink menus, promotions, and pricing in line with venue strategy
- Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen, floor, and function staff to ensure seamless service during events and peak trading periods
- Monitor point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Support the General Manager with rostering, budgeting, and reporting as required

About You

- Proven experience in a Bar Manager or senior bar supervisory role, ideally within a hotel, pub, or high-volume hospitality venue
- Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Sound knowledge of liquor licensing laws and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with stock control, cost management, and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by venue trading hours
- A positive, team-oriented approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
