About Eucalyptus Psychology

Eucalyptus Psychology is a values-led private practice with clinics in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and the Dandenong Ranges, co-founded by Clinical Psychologist Dr Matthew Blake and Practice Director Laura Blake. The practice provides purpose-designed consulting spaces and full administrative infrastructure for psychologists and psychiatrists building independent, ethical, evidence-based practices – a multidisciplinary setting where you can consult alongside peers across professions.

Who We're Looking For

- Endorsed Clinical Psychologists — immediate and ongoing vacancies
- Clinical Psychology Registrars — we're looking to welcome registrars toward the end of 2026 / start of 2027; if you're on your final placement and finishing your coursework and thesis soon, now's a great time to reach out
- We welcome applications from clinical psychologists and registrars at every career stage

Generous Sessional Rates

- Endorsed Clinical Psychologists: $168 per 50-minute session
- Registrars: $141 per session
- Only paid sessions are invoiced — no room fees when you're on leave or not seeing clients

Ethical, Transparent Agreements

- No restraint clauses
- You retain full ownership of your clinical files and notes

Full Admin & Reception Support

- Our reception and admin team manage intake, triage, bookings, reminders, billing, and communications
- Digital marketing and GP outreach handled for you

Autonomy & Referral Matching

- Choose your clients, hours, caseload, and delivery mode (in-person, telehealth, or hybrid)




- Referrals are screened and matched to your clinical preferences
- Accept, decline, or refer on clients at any time
- On-site psychiatric consultation available for complex presentations, with scope for case discussion across professions
- Established neurodevelopmental assessment stream (ADHD, ASD) for clinicians interested in assessment-focused work

Supervision & Professional Development

- Registrars: fortnightly individual supervision with Dr Matthew Blake (Board-approved supervisor), plus monthly group supervision evenings
- All practitioners: complimentary monthly group supervision, CPD support, and scope for research, group work, or teaching interests
- Several of our current endorsed clinicians trained through our registrar program — a genuine pathway from registrar to endorsement, practising from the same clinics throughout

Set your own hours and take breaks when you need them. Write reports in-clinic or from home. Enjoy garden walks or quiet time between sessions, relaxed peer connections, and good coffee.

Our Locations

Mooroolbark – 146 Cardigan Road. A renovated heritage property surrounded by mature trees, gardens, and a meditation pond.

Olinda – 28A Chalet Road. A purpose-built forest retreat in the Dandenong Ranges, with outdoor spaces suited to nature-based or walk-and-talk sessions.

What You'll Need

Endorsed Clinical Psychologists:

- AHPRA registration with clinical psychology endorsement
- Eligibility to provide Medicare-funded services
- ABN and Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Working With Children Check and Police Check

Registrars:

- General AHPRA registration expected by end of 2026 / early 2027, with enrolment in (or eligibility for) the Clinical Psychology Registrar pathway
- ABN and Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Working With Children Check and Police Check
