Epworth HealthCare seeks Acute General Registered Nurses, Critical Care, Operating Room staff (Scrub/Scouts, Anaes and PACU) to join the Central Resource Unit on a permanent part‑time basis.
Locations
- Freemasons (East Melbourne)
- Eastern (Box Hill)
- Hawthorn
- Epworth Geelong
Staff recruited into the permanent pool team are based in either Central, Eastern Suburbs or Geelong but are not limited to just one location. Importantly, you can choose your primary location and pick up shifts in other locations as well.
Model Overview
- Each staff member can select their primary hospitals where they want to pick up shifts.
- Staff can choose to pick up additional shifts in other Epworth locations.
- CCRN will have an expected requirement of working between Richmond & Eastern.
- Supernumerary and education are provided to staff to ensure they are set up for success.
- Access to a mobile app to pick up shifts across the group.
- Experience a variety of work by having the ability to work or transition across different specialties and areas.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Contemporary knowledge of best practice in surgical/medical nursing care and/or midwifery, and the patient journey.
- Permanent residency, Australian citizenship or working rights.
- Recent practice across both Medical and Surgical nursing (if wanting to join as a general acute nurse).
- Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptable to different teams and working environments.
- Teachable and willing to learn and grow professionally.
- Enjoy the challenge of working flexibly within a team environment.
- Strong understanding and background of patient‑centred care.
- Well‑developed time management and prioritisation skills.
- Current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration.
- Critical Care Post Graduate qualification (if joining as a pure CCRN).
- Perioperative Post Graduate certificate desirable but not essential (for Operating Room staff).
- Current Working with Children Check (employee).
