Senior Tax Accountant / Business Services Accountant
KD & Associates is a boutique accounting and business advisory practice based in Adelaide, specialising in taxation, accounting, and business advisory services across a diverse client base.
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant / Business Services Accountant to join our growing practice.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant to work for a growing practice with a diverse client base. The position will be ideal for someone who enjoys working autonomously with the support of the Director where required.
This position is available on a full-time basis, with part-time considered for the right candidate.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships.
- Review of BAS, IAS, payroll, and compliance matters
- Identifying tax, compliance, and structuring issues
- Assisting with tax planning and technical accounting matters
- Assisting with workflow management, review processes, and lodgement deadlines
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office where required
- Working with Xero, XPM, MYOB and related practice software
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5+ years’ Australian public practice experience
- Prior experience reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work
- CA / CPA qualified (or near completion) preferred but not essential
- Strong technical tax and compliance knowledge
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify issues before lodgement
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
