About PacificLabour Mobility Support Program
The Pacific AustraliaLabour Mobility (PALM) scheme is a signature initiative for the AustralianGovernment that enables workers from 9 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) andTimor-Leste to work in priority sectors in Australia. The Pacific LabourMobility Support Program's (PLMSP) role is to provide the Department of ForeignAffairs and Trade (DFAT) and governments in 9 PICs and Timor-Leste with supportto enable workers to access PALM scheme in inclusive ways that maximise thebenefits for the workers and national economies while minimising risks fromlabour mobility participation. Palladium is contracted to deliver PLMSP onbehalf of DFAT.

We're growing ourGender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) team and have twoexciting opportunities for early-career professionals to join us in Brisbane.If you're passionate about gender equality, disability and social inclusion - andlooking for a role where you can learn from experienced practitioners whilemaking a tangible difference across the Pacific and Timor-Leste - we'd love tohear from you.

As a GEDSI Officer,you'll work alongside our GEDSI Coordinators, Managers and Senior Manager tobring our GEDSI strategy and annual plan to life. No two days will look thesame: one day you might be helping coordinate an International Women's Dayevent, the next you could be drafting a best-practice note, supporting travellogistics for a regional workshop, or contributing ideas to a new trainingresource. It's a hands-on role with plenty of variety, exposure to seniorleaders and international development practitioners, and a genuine opportunityto grow your career in a supportive team.
These are fixed-termopportunities based in our Brisbane office, with a flexible hybrid arrangement(minimum 50% in-office presence each week).

What you'll bedoing

- Supporting the delivery of GEDSIactivities under the PLMSP annual plan, including day-to-dayadministrative and coordination support.
- Helping organise travel and logistics forGEDSI activities, working closely with our Operations team and otherprogram streams.
- Coordinating GEDSI events and awarenessdays - think International Women's Day, International Day of People withDisabilities, and 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
- Providing administrative support to theGEDSI Senior Manager and GEDSI Managers, including scheduling meetings,preparing agendas, and capturing clear minutes and action items.
- Contributing to the development of GEDSImaterials such as training content, guidelines, SOPs and best-practicenotes - and helping make sure they land well in different culturalcontexts.




- Pitching in flexibly to support emergingpriorities of the GEDSI team, PLMSP, and DFAT.
- Bringing curiosity to how we work - exploringhow AI, data and new technology can help us work smarter.

We're looking forsomeone who is curious, organised, and genuinely interested in gender equality,disability and social inclusion. You don't need years of experience - whatmatters is your willingness to learn, your attention to detail, and yourenthusiasm for the work. Knowledge of and experience in the Pacific and/orTimor Leste would be highly valued.

You'll likely have:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevantdiscipline such as Social Work, Gender Studies, International Development,Community Development, Anthropology or a related social science (orequivalent work experience).
- Around 1-3 years of relevant professionalexperience - experience in the Pacific or Timor-Leste is a plus, but notessential.
- A general understanding of genderequality, disability inclusion, social inclusion, human rights andinternational development concepts, and an interest in how these translateinto practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and theconfidence to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds andcultures.
- Solid coordination and organisationalskills, with the ability to juggle competing tasks.
- Positive written communication skills - youcan put together clear notes, emails and short reports.
- Confidence to speak up in meetings,present ideas, and help facilitiatesmall group discussions.
- The ability to work both independently andas part of a close-knit team.
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding, integrity, and ethical development practice.

- Work in a collaborative, inclusive teamthat genuinely invests in your development.
