Assistant Travel Manager Opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate internal team members interested in stepping into an Assistant Travel Manager opportunity across our Travel Centres in West Perth, Carousel, Joondalup, and Karrinyup .
One Assistant Travel Manager opportunity is available at each of the following locations:
- RAC West Perth Travel Centre
- RAC Carousel Travel Centre
- RAC Joondalup Travel Centre
- RAC Karrinyup Travel Centre
Full‑time availability working across a 7‑day rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and late‑night trade is required.
EOIs close Friday 24 July 2026.
Your day‑to‑day impact
- Support the Travel Supervisor with the day‑to‑day leadership and operations of the store.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate Travel Consultants to achieve sales and service targets.
- Lead the team in the Supervisor's absence, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Drive sales performance while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and member value.
- Support rostering, team communication, and operational excellence.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and developing current and existing team members.
- Resolve customer enquiries and support outstanding member experiences.
- Foster a positive, engaged, and high‑performing team culture.
What You'll Bring
- Extensive experience in retail travel sales.
- A proven ability to consistently achieve sales and service outcomes.
- Strong destination, product, and cruise knowledge.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting team members.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Experience using Sabre or a similar GDS system.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing others.
- Availability to work a 7‑day rotating roster including late nights, Saturdays and Sundays.
