Responsibilities
- As the sole legal counsel for the business, manage and oversee the company's legal and compliance requirements and external counsel.
- Handle a broad IP workload including trademark and design registrations, patents, licensing, and IP infringement.
- Draft, negotiate, review and advise on commercial contracts including distributor and retail supply agreements.
- Provide guidance on compliance, IT, regulatory and employment law; support international operations across local and overseas markets.
- Utilize drafting skills to apply commercial acumen and tech solutions to streamline processes.
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to protect legal interests and support commercial goals.
Qualifications
- 4-10 years Post-Admission Experience (PAE) in private practice or in-house.
- Australian lawyer with current practicing certificate.
- Solid legal and commercial acumen, excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Independent and team-oriented, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset; comfortable using technology to improve processes.
- Tech-savvy and able to work in a fast-paced, lead role within a growing business.
