We are currently partnering with a well-established regional health service in South Australia to recruit an Orthopaedic Surgeon to join their growing and highly regarded orthopaedic department based in Mount Gambier.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon seeking a rewarding regional role offering a robust procedural caseload, modern facilities, supportive leadership, and an exceptional lifestyle.

The orthopaedic department provides both acute and elective orthopaedic services and has developed a strong reputation across the Limestone Coast region. The service is recognised as a high-volume sports and arthroplasty centre with access to modern orthopaedic technology and a team-oriented multidisciplinary workplace.

The team manages a broad range of orthopaedic presentations, with opportunities across both upper and lower limb surgery. An interest in foot and ankle surgery would be highly regarded. The department is also actively involved in teaching and supporting junior medical staff, interns, and allied health professionals.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in providing orthopaedic services within a referral network.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience in research and teaching
- Subspecialty interests are desirable with a requirement for both upper and lower limb fellowship experience as well as an interest in foot & ankle. Please note this is not a spinal centre.
