Dawson Mine
Steelmaking Coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.Dawson Mine is a large and energetic open cut steelmaking coal mine operation madeup of two operating pits – Central and South.
It commencedoperations in **** and is one of theoldest coal mining operations in Central Queensland.Dawson Mine was the first mine in Australia to export coal to Japan in **** and was the first mine to introduce draglines into its operation in ****.
Job Description :
We would like toinvite applications from experienced Dragline Operators to join our Dawson Operation in Moura, QLD on a full time permanent basis.
The Dawson operation is a large open-cut coal mining operation showing no signs of slowing down!
You will work as part of a team operating our BE**** & Marion **** Draglines to produce Steelmaking Coal whilst demonstrating safe working behaviours and practices to achieve set targets.
Qualifications :
To be successful for this position, you will ideally hold:
Be an experienced dragline operator with Dozer skills.
Demonstrated knowledge in dragline set up, operations and dig methods.
Provide proof of your operating experience.
Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Be a team player with a safety first mindset.
Drive optimization and continuous performance improvement.
