Job Responsibilities

- Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based psychological care to individuals experiencing sleep difficulties and co‑occurring mental health conditions.
- Conduct assessments and provide therapy, primarily using CBT‑I, ACT, EMDR, mindfulness‑based approaches and other evidence‑based modalities.
- Develop and lead group therapy sessions as part of the Institute’s treatment options.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of sleep physicians, psychologists, respiratory specialists and allied health professionals to provide integrated care.

Qualifications

- Relevant qualification in psychology.
- Full registration as a psychologist or clinical psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number to offer rebated services.
- An Australian Business Number (ABN) and professional indemnity insurance.
- High standard of ethical practice and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience in behavioural sleep medicine and CBT‑I,



or willingness to develop expertise in this area.

Desirable Attributes

- Previous experience working in a health psychology setting and/or private practice.
- Familiarity with ACT, EMDR, mindfulness‑based approaches, or other evidence‑based therapeutic modalities relevant to sleep and mental health.
- Interest in contributing to research, program development, or training initiatives within the Institute.
- Registered as a Psychologist for workers compensation.
