HDR is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people across Australia. This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne with flexibility from 3 to 5 days per week, depending on candidate preference.

As a design consultancy, much of HDR’s work is in the planning and design phase, with some site-based activity. This role will play a key part in influencing safety outcomes early in the project lifecycle, as well as supporting protected execution.

Responsibilities

- Act as a visible champion for health, wellbeing and safety, supporting teams with practical advice and guidance.
- Support safety planning,



deliver health and safety training, review safety documentation and contribute to initiatives across a range of projects and sectors.
- Influence safety outcomes early in the project lifecycle by supporting teams during the planning and design phases, while also contributing to safe project execution.
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE Project Plans in conjunction with project teams.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure alignment with HSE Project Plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections and HSE audits to monitor compliance.
- Prepare reports to support ongoing HSE efforts.
