Part-Time Senior Solicitor (Western Australia – Remote/Flexible)

About Us

We are a boutique law firm originally founded in the United Kingdom and now expanding into Western Australia. We are seeking a senior, WA-qualified Solicitor with strong legal compliance and regulatory experience to help lead our practice in Australia.

This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in a new law firm while enjoying a part-time, flexible arrangement. The role is particularly suited to experienced practitioners looking for reduced hours, flexibility, or even those in early retirement wishing to remain active in practice.

The Role

Working 1-3 days per week (primarily remote, with rare office attendance in WA), you will:

- Oversee the firm’s legal compliance obligations under the Legal Practice Board of WA, including trust account compliance, CPD requirements, and professional conduct.
- Provide senior-level legal advice and strategic guidance across a range of matters relevant to a new firm.
- Draft and review legal documents, manage client files, and ensure best practice in risk management.
- Develop and implement firm policies, governance, and compliance systems to support the current practice.
- Collaborate with the UK-based directors and team, requiring some flexible hours to accommodate time zone differences.
- (Desirable) Handle personal injury matters such as workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accidents,



and public liability claims.

About You

You will bring:

- Current admission as a solicitor in Western Australia and a valid practising certificate.
- Senior-level experience in legal practice, with a strong focus on compliance, governance, and WA regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead compliance systems.
- Strong drafting, advisory, and client management skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedule to engage with colleagues in the UK.
- (Bonus) Experience in personal injury law.
- Suitability for those seeking part-time, adaptable work, including practitioners in early retirement.
