Role details The Continuing Care Services at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Mental Health and Other Drugs Service New Graduate Program (Occupational Therapist) to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity The Allied Health Mental Health Network and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS) New Graduate Program is a two-year (24 month) graduate training program specifically for allied health new graduates in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, and Psychology with less than two years of post-qualifying experience. There are three main components of the MHAODS New Graduate Program: work-based experiential learning, formalised education and training, plus supervision and profession-specific support. The Allied Health MHAODS Recent Graduate Program requires the participant to rotate through four clinical settings over the two-year program. Participation in both supervisions, and the education and training program is required to support the achievement of clinical competency and capability. About the Team Our Occupational Therapy Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults,



throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Occupational Therapists play a critical role in helping people of all ages to overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, ageing or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations and participate in the activities of everyday life.
