Type: Locum, Full Time, Ongoing Explore an exciting opportunity to work as a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse within the Older Adults Community Mental Health Team in the picturesque town of Tewkesbury. Earn up to £26.50 per hour with the flexibility of locum work, enjoy full-time hours with core availability from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and take advantage of flexible start and finish times such as 8 am to 6 pm for four days a week or 8 am to 4 pm.

What you will do
- Be an integral part of a Community Mental Health Team offering secondary care to older adults experiencing both organic and functional mental health challenges.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments,
plan interventions, and deliver both short and long-term support and education to service users with various psychiatric illnesses.
- Guide service users requiring less intensive care from secondary to other suitable services for further support.
- Create and implement treatment plans for those living with organic and/or functional mental health problems.
- Provide both face-to-face and telephone advice to ensure sensitive and appropriate response to service users’ needs.
- Offer daily support to senior team members, overseeing and assisting in the supervision of junior staff.
- Collaborate with team members to manage and maintain shared caseloads.
- Ensure all records and documentation are kept professional, current, and comply with the Trust’s ACM Policy.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
