The Opportunity

- Full‑Time | Ongoing contract of employment.
- EM1 $132,781 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading.
- Chadstone Campus - onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.

Holmesglen’s Plumbing and Mechanical Services Department is a purpose‑built training hub delivering hands‑on, industry‑relevant training from pre‑apprenticeship through to post‑trade. With state‑of‑the‑art facilities that replicate real job sites, we equip students with practical skills, technical knowledge, and strong industry connections to support successful careers in the plumbing and mechanical services industries.

As an Education Manager, you will:

- Lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of high‑quality plumbing programs, including pre apprenticeships, apprenticeships, plumbing skills sets and Victorian Secondary Schools programs, aligned with industry and organisational needs.
- Recruit, lead, and support teaching and support staff, fostering strong performance, professional growth,



and engaging learning and assessment practices.
- Ensure compliance with ASQA standards, training packages, and internal systems, including validation, moderation, audits, and training package transitions.
- Oversee learner administration and apprenticeship processes, including enrolments, timetabling, LLN, RPL, progress tracking, retention, and completion support.
- Build and maintain strong industry and stakeholder relationships, ensuring programs remain current, responsive, and aligned with workforce and employer needs.

To be successful, you’ll have:

- Relevant plumbing vocational qualification and approved adult teaching qualification (AQF 5‑6), with applicable industry licence, registration, or professional membership where required.
- Experience within the plumbing or a related trade, with demonstrated capability in leading and developing teaching teams.
- Proven leadership experience in the VET sector, including the ability to manage course delivery, lead teams, and drive high‑quality teaching and learning outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the VET sector, including ASQA and funding compliance requirements, training package standards, curriculum design, and adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and industry engagement,



including building partnerships and aligning programs with industry and organisational priorities.
- Strong operational capability, including resource and course management, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously while delivering continuous improvement and organisational outcomes.

WWCC and Police Check

Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
