As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, provide high-quality tax and business advisory services, and play a key role in delivering exceptional client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs), and individuals.
- Provide tax planning, compliance, and business advisory services.
- Manage client relationships and deliver proactive advice.
- Research and interpret taxation legislation and provide practical solutions.
- Review the work of junior accountants and provide coaching and mentoring.
- Assist with business development and identify opportunities to expand client services.
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation legislation, accounting standards, and professional obligations.
- Contribute to process improvements and the ongoing growth of the practice.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion).
- Minimum of five years’ experience in public practice, with a solid focus on taxation and business advisory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian taxation legislation.
- Experience using accounting and tax software such as Xero, MYOB, APS, or similar.
- Strong analytical, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
