Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking an experienced Centre Cook to join our Parramtta Service. This position is a Full-time role - Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Implement and modify (where required) a seasonal menu created by our nutritionist
- Maintain regular checks in compliance with the NSW Food Standards Code and Health Regulations
- Assist staff and families in providing high-quality education and care
- Collaborate with the staff and families to facilitate learning opportunities relevant to the educational program
- Maintain professional, supportive and respectful relationships between management, staff, families and children
- Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements
About You / Qualifications
- Demonstrated Cook/Chef experience in the Aged Care or Early Childhood Education and Care sector
- An ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care is preferred, but not mandatory
- Alternatively,
a relevant Commercial Cooks qualification
- Food Handlers Basics Certificate
- Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- Knowledge of Food Standards Codes, EYLF and NQS
- Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices
- Maintain Mandatory National Child Safety Training
- Child Safety Matters
