Role Overview

Avanade is looking for a Retail Industry SME to accelerate growth across the SME-C segment through Catalyst Squad activation. The role focuses on translating retail industry strategy into practical, scalable solutions, sales plays, and go-to-market motions for mid‑market and channel‑led customers. The retail industry anchor works with sales, marketing, practices, Microsoft, and channel teams to create qualified pipeline, support priority deals, and enable repeatable retail solution execution. The role is highly execution‑focused, emphasizing scalability, measurable growth impact, and practical industry relevance.

Responsibilities

- Create and execute retail industry strategy for the Catalyst Squad.
- Partner with sales, marketing, practices, Microsoft, and channel teams to build qualified pipeline and support priority deals.
- Enable repeatable retail solution execution across mid‑market and channel‑led customers.
- Translate market trends and customer challenges into practical sales and delivery motions.
- Package solutions, standardize, set up repeatability, and drive sales enablement and deal shaping.
- Leverage pipeline, market demand, conversion, and performance data to drive decisions.
- Collaborate with Microsoft, partners and ecosystem teams to progress joint opportunities.

Qualifications





- Strong retail industry understanding and ability to translate market trends into actionable strategies.
- Experience commercializing retail solutions for mid‑market, SME or channel‑led segments.
- Solid capability in solution packaging, standardization, repeatability, sales enablement and deal shaping.
- Knowledge of retail transformation priorities: unified commerce, customer data, loyalty, merchandising, supply chain, store operations, workforce productivity and AI‑enabled transformation.
- Experience working across Microsoft, partner and ecosystem teams to create and progress joint opportunities.
- Data‑driven mindset – ability to use pipeline, market demand, conversion and performance data to inform decisions.
