Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Lawyer role based in Gordon, NSW, suited to a practitioner with 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience. The role involves advising clients on commercial contracts, corporate and business transactions, buying and selling businesses, leasing and wider commercial legal issues. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, preparing legal opinions, and providing clear, practical advice on risk management and compliance. The Commercial Lawyer will work closely with clients to understand their business needs,



handle matters involving data privacy and regulatory obligations, and contribute to dispute resolution where commercial issues arise. The role also includes collaborating with colleagues across the firm’s practice areas, maintaining accurate file management, and supporting the continued development of the commercial law practice.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in commercial practice
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Commercial Contracts
- Ability to identify, analyze, and manage complex Commercial Legal Issues for business clients
- Experience providing transparent, practical Legal Advice on commercial, regulatory, and risk-related matters
- Working knowledge of Data Privacy and related regulatory compliance requirements
- Admission as a solicitor in Australia and a current practising certificate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing advisory skills
- Sound legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to manage a varied workload, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a small team
- Experience appearing in or preparing matters for court or alternative dispute resolution is advantageous
