Child and Family Practitioner

Location: Ipswich

Employment Term: Maximum Term to 30 April 2027 – Part‑time (7 days per fortnight, days negotiable)

Remuneration: $51 per hour + superannuation + NFP salary packaging (save tax and increase take‑home pay)

Responsibilities

- Provide support to vulnerable children, young people and families within the Family Intervention Service (FIS).
- Work intensively with families in their homes to address child protection concerns and other issues.
- Deliver practical and emotional support and counselling to help families make informed decisions about their future.
- Support families whose children are at imminent risk of entering out‑of‑home care or who require reunification following a period of out‑of‑home care.

Qualifications and Experience

- Tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree or higher) in a relevant human services discipline.
- Relevant experience working with children and families,



with demonstrated skills and sound knowledge.
- Experience in the child protection sector highly regarded.
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current driver’s licence.
