We are a growing NSW-based plant hire company specialising in Hi-Rail Excavators, supplying Tier 1 and Tier 2 rail contractors across major projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new work and maximise fleet utilisation.
The Role
This is a hands-on role focused on winning work, building relationships, and keeping machines utilised. You will be dealing directly with project managers, supervisors, and decision-makers across the rail and civil sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new business across rail and civil projects
Maintain and grow relationships with key tier 1 clients as-well as growing relationships with new clients.
Maximise utilisation of plant and equipment
Identify upcoming project opportunities and secure work
Coordinate operators and assist with scheduling as required
Act as the main point of contact for client enquiries
General business management duties
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in business development (rail, civil, or plant hire)
Existing industry relationships (highly regarded)
Solid understanding of rail projects and contractor environment
Ability to work autonomously and drive results
Solid communication and negotiation skills
