About You
We're looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy making a difference in the lives of older Australians.
As a Food Service Assistant, you'll be energetic, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
While this is primarily a back-of-house role, you'll also interact with residents, helping to create a positive mealtime experience with friendly and respectful service.
This is an active role, so you'll need to be comfortable being on your feet throughout your shift.
Your Responsibilities
Prepare and serve meals,



snacks, and beverages to residents
Set up and clear dining areas for meal services
Maintain cleanliness of kitchens and food preparation areas
Wash dishes, utensils, benches, and kitchen equipment
Sweep and mop floors and dispose of waste safely
Follow food safety standards and infection control procedures
Support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality meal services
Adhere to workplace health and safety policies at all times
Requirements
Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial kitchens (preferred)
Food Handler Certificate (essential)
Current National Police Check
Current COVID-19 vaccinations (as required by facility guidelines)
Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, and short-notice shifts
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
