Nova Higher Education is expanding its Adelaide campus and seeking an experienced, passionate academic to join our team as a Course Coordinator and Sessional Lecturer.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine teaching with academic leadership.
The successful candidate will coordinate and teach Business, Hospitality and Culinary units within the Bachelor of Culinary Arts Business Management.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate Business, Hospitality and Culinary units
Deliver lectures, tutorials and practical kitchen classes, where applicable
Develop and assess engaging, industry-relevant learning activities
Supervise students in hospitality and commercial kitchen environments
Contribute to curriculum development, assessment moderation and continuous improvement
Prepare learning resources and maintain accurate records in the Learning Management System
Provide academic guidance, mentoring and support to students
Collaborate with academic and professional staff to enhance the student experience
Support compliance with TEQSA, the Higher Education Standards Framework, food-safety requirements and work health and safety legislation
About you
A master's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Hospitality, Commercial Cookery,



Culinary Arts or a related discipline; higher qualifications are desirable
Relevant industry experience in hospitality, culinary operations or business management
Teaching experience in higher education, vocational education and training, or industry-based training is highly regarded
Strong communication, organisational and student-engagement skills
Sound knowledge of commercial hospitality operations, food safety and quality assurance
A genuine passion for mentoring students and delivering practical, industry-relevant education
