We're looking for a full time or part-time Optical Dispenser to join our friendly team across our three independently owned practices:
Monocle Optometry– North Fremantle
David Shanahan Optometrists– Fremantle
Angelo Street Optical– South Perth
For more than 20 years, David Shanahan Optometrists has set the benchmark for independent optometry in Perth.
More recently, the practice joined Monocle Optometry and Angelo Street Optical under the ownership of Sam and Carla Schneider, bringing together three like-minded practices that share the same philosophy of exceptional eye care, beautiful independent eyewear, and genuinely caring customer service.
We're looking for someone who enjoys variety and would love the opportunity to work across all three locations.
Each practice has its own unique personality and loyal patient base, but all are united by the same values, culture and commitment to delivering outstanding experiences for our patients.

We're offering up to five days per week, a competitive salary, and flexible working arrangements for the right person.
The Role
We're looking for someone who is confident with:
Frame styling and selection
Lens ordering
Frame adjustments and repairs




Troubleshooting optical issues
A formal dispensing qualification would be a bonus, but it's not essential if you have solid optical dispensing experience and knowledge.
More than anything, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for helping people.
As this position is shared across our three practices, we're looking for someone who enjoys working in different environments, is adaptable, and loves being part of a close-knit team.

Across our three practices you'll work alongside experienced optometrists and dispensers, caring for loyal patients who appreciate personalised service and quality products.
We stock a carefully curated collection of unique, independent eyewear brands that we're genuinely proud to recommend.
Our practices use both Optomate and Sunix software and primarily dispense Rodenstock lenses.
We also utilise Rodenstock's Impressionist measurement system for precise frame measurements and lens ordering, along with the DNEye Scanner to provide exceptionally personalised lens solutions.
