(Pro Rata) RN/M2A| Full-Time Position Until October **** Step Into Leadership | Associate Nurse Unit Manager, Outpatient Services Flinders Medical Centre is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to take on an Associate Nurse Unit Manager role within Outpatient Support Services on a full-time contract through to October ****. You'll provide hands‐on clinical leadership across a busy outpatient environment, supporting your team to deliver safe, high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
About the role
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in the day‐to‐day clinical and operational leadership of Outpatient Support Services, acting as a key resource for staff, patients, and the broader multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Assists the OSS Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent to provide timely, useful and relevant information to clinicians and managers, to assist quality clinical and management decisions and quality outcomes
Assist with data extraction and analysis to assist with continuous quality improvement activities
Assists and supports the OSS Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent in management, clinical and education activities
Plan and coordinate services including those from other disciplines
Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience




Assist the OSS Nurse Unit Manager and the OSS Nurse Manager to maintain a learning culture by being a resource person, encouraging reflection and professional development, and assisting others to maintain portfolios/records of learning
About you
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
Demonstrated competence in clinical practice in accordance with relevant standards
Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
Salary and benefits
Salary $107,487 - $114,917 p.a. (Pro Rata)
