About The Role
The Psychology Educators provide coordination and delivery of educational development activities and specialized clinical skills to other Psychologist's, psychology students and other program staff that meet the needs of the service and the individual.
Skills
These positions have a key role in providing Psychology discipline specific leadership, education and training to Psychology staff and students within a coordinated, comprehensive education framework to address organizational, clinical service, professional and individual's needs. The Clinical Educators will also be involved in the planning, coordination and training of psychological clinical skills provided to other health professionals across the Barwon Health Network. As a team of clinical educators, the positions will focus on specialized areas:
Neuro-psychology and assessment
Child & Youth services
Mental Health
Adult and Aged populations.
Our Educators will have specialist knowledge in their area of practice and may have specific expert assessment and intervention skills. The role may involve a small clinical caseload that will focus on the supervision, mentoring or working alongside other clinicians (0.2EFT equivalent for a full time employee).
The role works closely with other senior educators and clinicians within MHDAS and Barwon Health.



The incumbent also contributes to the development of the MHDAS service as is a member of relevant meeting/committees by negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Development and Learning of Psychologists
Demonstrate a genuine shared commitment to a values-based and transformational education philosophy and structures, which sustain a culture of education and learning within MHDAS
Utilise coproduction and human rights principles and collaboratively develop, deliver and evaluate education and learning programs, harnessing the wisdom and expertise of lived experience
What We're Looking For
Masters or Doctoral level qualification in Clinical or Neuro Psychology (or equivalent)
Registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with specialist endorsement as a Clinical or Neuro Psychologist.
Registered as a supervisor with AHPRA, with capacity to supervise relevant Registrar programs
More than ten years' experience with demonstrated, highly developed clinical leadership skills, extensive post-graduate, professional experience and, recognized professional specialization.
Qualification and/or experience in Adult Education and/or willingness to work towards attainment of qualification.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
