Bowral Community Mental Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team supporting consumers across the Southern Highlands.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver high‐quality, evidence‐based clinical care within a welcoming community setting, working closely with individuals, families, and their support networks.
You will play a key role in providing specialist psychological assessment and intervention, contributing to clinical decision‐making, supporting service improvement initiatives, and strengthening partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and motivated clinician with strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention.

You will be confident in working autonomously within your scope of practice, while also contributing positively to the broader multidisciplinary team.
Experience supervising others, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining effective relationships with partner services will be highly regarded.

Selection Criteria

1.



Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent
2. Provide an example of a time you delivered an evidence‐based psychological intervention in a community or mental health setting.
What was the clinical need, what approach did you use, and what was the outcome for the consumer?
3. Describe how you work collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary team members to support a consumer's recovery.
What strategies do you use to ensure shared understanding and coordinated care?
4. Tell us about a quality improvement, service development, or research activity you have contributed to.
What was your role, what challenges did you encounter, and what impact did the project have on service delivery or consumer outcomes?
5. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
Learner's licenses are not permitted.
