About The Role
In the position of Principal House Officer/Registrar you will be expected to participate in the provision of high‑level primary health care services for young persons within Prison and Youth Detention Health Services and to ensure that safe, high quality, patient‑centred care is provided. You will be supported and encouraged to expand your education and training in primary health care and become an important member of a dynamic and passionate team.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality medical care to patients in primary health care.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to own development and continuous self‑improvement and identifies learning opportunities in everyday work.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine‑preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive No. 01/16.
