About the opportunity

Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney invites applications for academic positions at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Associate Professor (Level B-D) in the following schools:

- School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering
- School of Computer Science
- School of Electrical and Computer Engineering

All positions are full‑time continuing (tenure‑track), teaching and research roles based in Sydney, with flexible working arrangements negotiable.

About you

The University values trust, accountability and excellence. Applicants will develop an independent research program and engage in collaborations within and outside the University, including with industry partners. They will contribute to curriculum development and delivery at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and support leadership of the School/Faculty.

Requirements

- PhD in a relevant field (or submitted for examination)
- Strong track record in research appropriate to discipline and level of appointment, taking career disruptions into account
- Ability to teach, engage, and support students using innovative pedagogies
- Outstanding communication skills and collegiality
- High‑level problem‑solving skills and ability to address complex issues

Responsibilities

Develop a research program, teach courses, contribute to curriculum, provide leadership within the Faculty, foster industry partnerships, and build research collaborations within and outside the Faculty.

Term and Remuneration
