About the role:
We have a great prospect for enthusiastic Perioperative Anaesthetic Registered or Enrolled Nurses to join our clinical team on a part-time basis with a minimum of 70hrs a fortnight. Monday to Friday, no on-call, no overnights and no public holidays.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Assist the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
- Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
- Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
- Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
- Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift
About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience in Perioperative Anaesthetic nursing
- Experience in PACU or scrub/ scout desirable, we are willing to cross train the right applicant.
- Experience in the below specialties desirable
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled nurse
- A team player that thrives in a fast paced day surgery environment

Charlestown Private Hospital, incorporating Hunter Eye Hospital, is a purpose-built private day surgery, specialising in Ophthalmology, Interventional Pain Management, Skin Lesion surgery and Dental. Our hospital includes 2 operating theatres, 4 x 1st stage recovery beds, 6 x 2nd stage recovery recliners.
