The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) is seeking an experienced project manager to lead and coordinate the Independent Review initiative, a key strategic priority that informs the organisation’s direction and impact.

The Independent Review provides valuable insights that influence AFCA's future direction, performance and impact. As Project Manager you will bring together diverse stakeholders, manage complex workstreams, coordinate consultation activities and deliver the review from planning through to completion.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of AFCA's Independent Review
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, governance and reporting
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and consultation activities
- Work closely with Executive and senior leaders across the organisation
- Manage project risks, dependencies and key milestones
- Provide strategic project advice to sponsors and decision‑makers
- Prepare high‑quality project documentation, reporting and presentations
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders
- Support governance forums and executive‑level reporting

Ideally, you’ll bring
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience working with senior executives, governance bodies or regulatory environments
- Robust project planning, reporting and risk management capability
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to bring structure, clarity and momentum to strategic initiatives
- Experience within financial services, government, regulatory or highly regulated environments (highly regarded)
