ALRM is recruiting for multiple permanent roles in the criminal practice team. Practitioners will be representing clients in Magistrates Courts in Adelaide and frequently at Elizabeth. You will provide high-quality, culturally appropriate legal advice and advocacy, and collaborate with field officers, support staff, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in criminal matters across SA courts.
- Deliver culturally responsive legal services.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to ALRM’s mission and law reform efforts.
What You will Bring
- Admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in South Australia.
- SA Practising Certificate with minimum 2+ years post-admission experience.
- Robust understanding of the criminal justice system and its impact on our Aboriginal community.
- Commitment to culturally appropriate service delivery.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and organisational skills.
