Happy Valley Foodland is a modern supermarket renowned for its high-quality fresh food offering and exceptional customer service. Our Service Deli is a key department within the store and has built a strong reputation for quality, variety, and presentation.

We are seeking an experienced Service Deli Manager to lead our successful deli team. Reporting directly to Store Management and the Group Fresh Foods Manager, this is an excellent prospect for a motivated retail professional looking to further their career within a progressive and growing family business.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Service Deli, ensuring high standards of customer service, food safety, team performance, and department profitability.

Key Responsibilities

- Stock control and ordering

- Product merchandising and presentation

- Liaising with suppliers

- Delivering exceptional customer service

- Maintaining food safety and compliance standards





- Achieving budget and sales targets

- Team leadership, rostering, training and development

- Driving department performance and continuous improvement

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in a supermarket Service Deli

- Strong leadership and people management skills

- Excellent communication and organisational abilities

- Experience with stock control and inventory management

- A passion for fresh food and customer service

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Availability to work Saturdays on a rotational basis
