Our Chambers Band 1 Corporate M&A; and Capital Markets practice is expanding and we are recruiting a high‑calibre Senior Associate to join our Brisbane team. This is a fantastic role for somebody looking to work in a collaborative and high‑performing environment, advising on the most complex and largest deals in the market.
We are seeking to support our work in:
- M&A; and joint ventures in the mining and oil and gas sectors.
- Critical minerals transactions, including M&A;, royalties and supporting financing.
- Private and public M&A; across the broader resources and energy sectors.
- Energy and resources project development and operations.
- Advising clients on contracts and regulatory arrangements for energy and resources projects.
About you
You will have:
- Experience at a leading top‑tier, national or international firm or another firm with a specialist energy and resources practice, with demonstrated experience in energy and resources transactions.
- Experience advising on oil and gas M&A; and/or joint ventures is highly regarded.
- Strong generalist corporate M&A; capability across public and private transactions.
- An ability to effectively manage matters and lead junior team members.
- A willingness to participate in business development activities and build your profile in the resources sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to build lasting client relationships.
- A desire to grow as both a lawyer and a leader.
