The Green Elephant is looking for a qualified childcare Early Childhood Teacher / Child Care Worker to join the service's existing team. We will consider your experience and preferred age group during your application, and find the most suitable place for you alongside our existing team.
What will you need to be considered for the role?
- a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration
- warm, nurturing presence with children
- genuine interest in early childhood development
- can work in accordance with service policies & procedures
Specific requirements of the role:
- Ideally can work full-time (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm
- Must hold a current Working With Children's Check
- Have a relevant qualification - Cer III, Diploma or ECT Bachelor or higher.
- Are proficient in written and verbal English language communication
- Have at least one year relevant work experience
Child Safety and Recruitment Requirements:
The successful applicant will be subject to The Green Elephant’s rigorous child-safe recruitment, induction and ongoing suitability processes,
including:
- Verification of Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Reference checks, including specific child safety and suitability questions
- Verification of qualifications and employment history
- Completion of a Child Protection Training Pack and induction requirements prior to commencement
- Completion of a Child Protection knowledge check or questionnaire to demonstrate understanding of mandatory reporting obligations and child protection responsibilities prior to commencing employment
- Ongoing assessment of suitability and adherence to child-safe expectations throughout employment
