We are seeking a Financial Controller, Commercial & Systems to join our Finance Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is one of two Financial Controller roles supporting Harmony's continued growth and operational excellence.

This is an exciting chance for a senior finance professional who is passionate about using data, technology and commercial insight to influence decision-making and support the continued growth of a rapidly expanding early childhood organisation.

About The Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller, Commercial & Systems will play a key role in strengthening Harmony's financial capability, governance frameworks and business performance. As one of two Financial Controller positions within the finance leadership team, this role has primary responsibility for commercial finance, financial planning, systems optimisation, automation and enterprise-wide improvement initiatives. Leading dedicated teams within your portfolio, you will partner closely with your Financial Controller peer and the broader finance function to ensure strong financial governance, operational excellence and strategic decision-making across the organisation.

You Will Support The Organisation Through

Driving automation, process improvement and digital transformation initiatives

Optimising finance, payroll, workforce and reporting systems to improve efficiency and scalability





Leading projects that strengthen organisational capability and deliver measurable outcomes

Providing commercial insights and recommendations to improve business performance and sustainability

Developing financial dashboards, reporting frameworks and business intelligence tools

Supporting acquisitions, business growth initiatives, and investment evaluations

Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic modelling activities

Partnering with operational leaders to enhance financial accountability and decision-making

Maintaining strong financial controls, governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks

Leading and developing a high-performing finance team About You You are a strategic thinker who can translate complex financial information into meaningful business decisions. You enjoy working collaboratively across an organisation and have a passion for improving systems, processes and performance.

You Will

Bring CPA or CA qualification (essential)

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or related discipline

Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles

Strong commercial and financial acumen with demonstrated strategic thinking

Experience leading financial reporting, forecasting and business performance analysis

Proven experience with finance systems, ERP platforms, automation and process optimisation

Strong understanding of business intelligence, data analytics and technology-enabled improvement

Experience leading transformation projects and cross-functional initiatives

Advanced financial modelling and business case development skills





Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability

Experience working within a multi-site or growth-focused organisation (highly desirable)

Current driver's licence.

Hold or obtain a current Working with Children Check/Blue Card.

Hold or obtain a current National Police Check.
