Join a growing and high-performing in-house legal team supporting major infrastructure, energy and environmental projects across Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer with 6–8 years' post-qualification experience to work on complex, business-critical matters within a collaborative and expanding legal function. The team currently comprises four lawyers and is continuing to grow in line with the organisation's ambitious project pipeline.
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will provide strategic legal support on a diverse range of matters, including:
- Project development and delivery
- EPC and D&C; contracts
- Operations and maintenance agreements
- Renewable energy and power generation projects
- Waste-to-energy and utilities projects
- Major infrastructure transactions
- PPPs, concessions and large-scale procurement projects
- Commercial contracts and project risk management
About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- 6–8 years' PQE gained in a leading law firm or sophisticated in-house environment
- Experience advising on energy, infrastructure, construction or major projects matters
- Solid drafting and negotiation skills across complex commercial arrangements
- Experience with project development, EPC, O&M;, PPP or major procurement transactions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A pragmatic, commercial approach to legal advice
We are also interested in speaking with infrastructure and construction lawyers who have substantial experience in PPPs, D&C;, EPC, concessions, operations and maintenance arrangements, and other major project work.
